In this part of The Whole Armor of Elohim Bible Study, we’re going to look at Ephesians 6:10-13. What you read below comes directly from my own notes journaled over time. Feel free to leave comments with your own thoughts, understanding, etc.
The Whole Armor of Elohim {part 1}
For the rest, my brothers, be strong in the Master and in the mightiness of His strength. (Ephesians 6:10)
Satan’s power is already broken and the great war is won by Messiah. But life on earth has temptation and battles that go on regularly. Adonai’s power, the strength of His Ruach, and the force of the Word are required for victory.
Put on the complete armor of Elohim, for you to have power to stand against the schemes of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11)
The armor should be part of our mandatory wardrobe. Put it on daily. Our armor is a necessity if we want to hold our position while under attack. The devil’s wiles are cleverly crafted methods and cunningly deceptive schemes.
HaSatan is:
- The anointed cherub (Ezekiel 28:14)
- The ruler of the demons (Like 11:15)
- god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4)
- prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2)
- Opposing Yah’s work (Zechariah 3:1)
- Perverting Yah’s Word (Matthew 4:6)
- Hindering Yah’s servant (1 Thessalonians 2:18)
- Hindering the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4)
- Snaring the righteous (1 Timothy 3:7)
- Holding the world to his power (1 John 5:19)
Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual matters of wickedness in the heavenlies. (Ephesians 6:12)
Wrestle indicates hand-to-hand combat, and wrestling features trickery and deception. To cope with deceptive temptation, we must use truth and righteousness. HaSatan has four different strata and rankings for his demons and the evil supernatural empire in which they operate. It is highly structured for the most destructive purposes:
- principalities
- powers
- rulers
- spiritual hosts
Because of this, take up the complete armor of Elohim, so that you have power to withstand in the wicked day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13)
It is absolutely necessary that we put our armor on by obedience. It will keep us prepared for the battlefield and the actual fight. Our goal should be to stand firm against the enemy without wavering.
Prayer for The Whole Armor of Elohim (part 1)
Abba, thank You for guiding these studies of Your Word. I repent from being disobedient, sidetracked, busy, out of order, worried, and not fully trusting You.
Thank You for making me strong in You and in the power of Your might. You have given me Your full armor and I choose this day to take it up and put it on. Thank You for the armor so I can stand against the wiles of the enemy.
His principalities, powers, rulers, and spiritual hosts cannot harm me and their plots and plans are made known. Your armor, Father, will protect me and those I’m fighting with and for.
I declare and decree that I will stand in these evil days because I have Your armor, Your strength, Your power, and Your might.
Thank You for Your Son, Yeshua, who fights with me and the Ruach Hakodesh as my general, coach, captain, and manager. Today, I shall stand and fight! Amen
