How We Define Homeschooling

Instead of using the term “homeschooling,” we like to call what we do lifeschooling. This best describes our belief system around what real education looks like. Over the years, homeschooling has taken on a definition that doesn’t quite do it justice.

For us, we immerse our children in everyday situations and use them as prime teaching moments. Instead of placing extreme emphasis on reaching manmade milestones, we allow our children to show us what they are ready for, and when.

Yes, we do have structure. And yes, they learn the basics of reading, writing, math, geography, science, etc. However, what sets a lifeschooler apart from most traditional homeschoolers is the ability to learn vital skills that will become more important as they reach adulthood.

Homeschooling Resources

  • Shop – Our shop has over 50 downloadable and printable digital resources for all ages, and even some for you, mom and dad! We specialize in practical resources that encourage homeschooling outside the box. We also have a large variety of foreign language resources, particularly Hebrew and ASL.
  • Amazon – We have several published resources for your homeschool, including my best-seller Just for Today’s Homeschooling Mom book to encourage you along your homeschooling journey.
  • Homeschool Library – I’ve been an Usborne Books (now PaperPie) customer since 2015 and briefly enjoyed doing book parties, as well as working with local education centers. Now, I help homeschool moms build an ongoing learning library using these amazing books!
  • YouTube – You’ll find a wealth of homeschooling resources on our With the Huddlestons YouTube Channel! Below is one of my most popular videos for learning how to homeschool in Kentucky:

Homeschool Services

There are several things I’m passionate about and one of those is helping families regain their control of their children’s education. In today’s world, homeschooling is growing in popularity, but there is still a strong stigma that advises against it.

“The powers that be” would much rather have our family nucleus’ broken up, our children raised in indoctrination, and parents working their butts off for the “American dream.” We are taught that this is the ideal way to a good life and it couldn’t be further from the truth.

To help combat the ways of this world, I help moms:

  • Learn how to start homeschooling.
  • Make the transition form public/private schooling to homeschooling.
  • Mentor mothers to confidently homeschool their children.
  • Help moms start a lucrative work-from-home business to help alleviate financial stress.
