Autumn is one of my FAVORITE seasons, which is why I’ve rounded up over 25 fun fall activities to do with your family. Take note of the ones you’d like to do with my free Family Fall Bucket List Printable.
25+ Fun Fall Activities To Do With Your Family
Visit an apple orchard.
Most apple orchards are open during the fall season and offer a variety of activities that you can do as a family. When we were stationary, we enjoyed visiting Coal Creek Orchard (now closed) in Hopkinsville, KY and Shade Tree Farm & Orchard in Adams, TN.
Now that we’re on the road full-time traveling, we’ve had the opportunity to check out the popular Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge, GA. At the very least, you’ll be able to enjoy the following at any apple orchard:
- apple picking
- watch how cider is made
- tractor rides through the orchard
- taste-testing
- shopping
- outdoor play
Go to a pumpkin patch.
Similar to an apple orchard, pumpkin patches are the next most fun adventure to do as a family. These are also packed with lots of things to do and you most likely won’t go home empty handed. Our favorite patch to visit in our hometown is Christian Way Farms (Hopkinsville, KY).
Most pumpkin patch farms will have:
- corn mazes
- pumpkin picking
- tractor rides
- animal feeding
- story time
- taste-testing
- shopping
Check out the local Farmers Market.
Visiting a Farmers Market isn’t always seen as a fall “activity” to do as a family, but it is! Depending on where you live, these can offer much more than just local farmers setting up tables and selling their crops. In fact, some towns, like the Nashville Farmers Market, has lots of booths for local farmers, artisans, shops, and crafts.
These are places when you can ask about farming techniques and practices, learn how things are grown and made, as well as do some taste-testing, and lots of shopping.
